I have used some DEI products in the past, mostly the header wrap.
The intercooler cooler is a pretty slick idea but they kit is a little spendy IMHO. I checked the pricing at Summit and the larger sprayer is $95 and the tank and install kit is $370.
This provides an idea to build your own though for much less money. I don't think they are selling you anything too special for $465.
I was looking at thair air intake kit. There are quite a few guys benefiting from Water/Meth in the intake, I wonder if 02 would work well? Probably not as well because there is no additional fuel with 02, only air. Also it is a little more money and less convienient to fill and 02 bottle than a bottle of windshield washer fluid
I know they have a lot of kits out there for the Co2. They use it to inject into clutch bell-housing at drag racing to purge the air and keep the clutch cool during the run. I also had an idea to cool the boost pipe coming from the inter-cooler prior to the manifold, to further compress the charged air, and lower EGT's.
Since I have run NOS, has anyone tried injecting Ho2 into the intake system of a diesel? If so did it work to increase HP, or put the flame out?
Yes there is a kit to inject water or water/methanol (preferred for the added fuel) into the intake stream. There has been a ton of info about it lately here on the TDR. If you do a search you should come up with a bit of reading. Yes it does cool EGT's and increase HP.
