I just changed mine after using Texaco 150,000mi premix for over six years and I could've gone longer. Test strips looked good and coolant looked like when I first put it in. Great stuff. Had to settle for Prestone cause I couldn't find the Texaco stuff in town.

george, I have it in my 03, and had it in my 00. Have 300K on my 03, and no problems.

Last Sept. going into Victorville Ca. towing a 40' 5er, lost my serpentine belt, and due to heavy traffic couldn't get off freeway for quite while, eng. temp went to 261* and never lost a drop of fluid, and no other problems.

Larry:

Did you have to make any water pump or radiator changes to use the Evans coolant? The literatures seems to imply that there might be some changes needed.

Sounds like good stuff.

Larry, was it a real pain to evacuate all the water and old coolant from the system?

TBora, you only have to use a 4lb. rad. cap. That is what I used on my 00, but could not find any lower than 7lb. for my 03, and that works fine. I would use new hoses and thermostadt also.

Supposed to be good for 1,000,000 miles.

george, its not bad at all. Warm the eng. up with heater control wide open, let cool for a while and drain coolant. Remove heater hose from pipe going up from head, and blow out good. Remove the second pipe plug ahead of the heater pipe, and pour in 1 gal. of "Evans Non-Aqueous Post drain PREP FLUID", this is heavier than water, and absorbs the water left in the system. Let drain a while longer. (I left drain over night)Blow thru heater hose again, Hook heater hose back up and install pipe plug. Use sealer on pipe plug. Install Evans cooler and your good to go.

That Post Drain Prep Fluid was about $25. 00 a gal. wheh I got mine, I know its hi, but if your spending that amount, might as well go all the way.

Hope this helps, if not give me a holler.

Larry
