Help ..... I have to add to my coolant recovery tank every so often, usually after long hard tow been fighting this for long time , oil test shows some elevated coolant in oil but Im not convinced . Oil looks good no gunk
on dipstick and on oil changes oil looks normal . I have replaced head gasket went with studs had the head checked for cracks new oil cooler and pressurized cooling system with 20 PSI with no leaks .. I got a feeling there is a block crack or a crack in head that cant be seen just was wondering if anybody else has had this problem ...Did put in some sealer in to no avail . Truck runs great never overheated just would like to know were the coolant is going .
96 mildly tuned injectors , fuel plate gov spring kit 230 K .. Any ideas appreciated
Thanks

Check your water pump weep hole with a flash light, a small leak can be hard to find, especially near the fan, it can evaporate even coolant.

Your answer is in your first sentence. " oil test shows some elevated coolant in oil ". I don't know what you mean by "elevated" since good oil samples show zero coolant in the oil. You aren't seeing it because it is evaporating and exiting the vent tube, but it's residue is showing up in the oil sample. Yes, blocks crack. There are a multitude of instances on this forum and others. I'd drive it until the coolant usage becomes excessive and change my oil often, that is if I never went more than 500 miles from home. Since I've been known to wander off to Alaska I'd be assembling another engine in my shop and replacing it at the first good opportunity.
