Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) coolant leak-head gasket?

Just got back from a 1200 mile trip towing my travel trailer. Around the fist head bolt there is a trace of coolant. No sign any where else. None in the oil and no sign of oil in the coolant.



Motor is stock. 94,000 miles. Max temp towing was 190. Max pre-turbo temp was about 1200 - not for very long.



How big of a problem do I have?

big if it blows internal across the cylinders like mine was, i almost had a bear of a prob but i caught my hadgasket soon enough. the explosion can cut a groove inbetween the cylinders causing a costly problem. if you see anitfreeze on the outside of the head try re-torqueing the head that can help for a little while, not a per fix. get the gasket change/oringed/fireringed. hope this helps
