I was installing a block heater cord/plug from Geno's, and I noticed a bit of liquid on the ground, right under the passenger front corner of the block. When I went under, I noticed a bit of fluid dripping off the passenger front corner of the block. Can't see where it is actually leaking, but it is antifreeze. After searching threads, I am still not sure where it is leaking.

Seems most folks were OK with having the dealer do the work, we also have a Cummins shop close by, in Renton.

Or should I find an indy shop that likes these motors?

I just started a new job, so have zero time to work on anything major.

Check your water pump. There has been quit a few water pumps replaced on the 7. 5 rams including mine.

Yep. I thought about the weep hole in the bottom of the water pump too. Take a flashlight and look at the water pump from under the truck. There is a weep hole in the bottom and that sounds like where the leak is.

RideSlow2004,

I just finished my R&R of my water pump today. #@$%!

That's where it started. I took out the alt, air cleaner, IC tube & oil filter. I dropped the belt but left it hanging around. It went easy after that. :D

I had it overnighted from Cummins $$, should have checked the Genoes Garage first.

Good Luck,

jgillott,

Maybe its something in the water???

The Genoes Garage pump is a lot cheaper than the Cummins unit.

Yes they do look to be very cost effective from Geno's. However, it wen't from just dripping to running on the ground today. I may not have time to order one in.

I am having my water pump and a oil leak fixed at the deal right now at 94,655. the pump started leaking a 150 miles from home and had to refill the radiator every 30 miles. The goods news is they are under warranty till 100,000.

I didn't know it, but apparently I have an extended warranty on my 6. 7. Didn't cost me a thin red cent. Had it fixed right away, just forgot to come back and tell ya.

What was the problem?

Water pump? Hose leaking? Had what fixed???? Inquiring minds want to know! Ken Irwin
