I was under the truck this morning working on the steering links and noticed that I have a coolant leak somewhere around the A/C compressor. All hoses are dry and were replaced late last year at the same time I replaced the water pump. Front of engine is completely dry. The freeze plugs that are visible from under the truck are dry and the block heater is dry.

Figuring that I'll be spending tomorrow tearing down that side of the engine... I was wondering if anybody has had a similar issue before I get there... .

Thanks!

Paul

Mine is leaking out of the water pump in the '07 and is running down behind the AC Compressor in the same way you described. Even though yours only a year old, it could be going out.

Fixed! After a bit of engine cleaner and removing the passenger wheel liner, it was pretty easy to see that the factory spring clamp on the radiator hose (just above the compressor unit) wasn't holding the hose tight enough. Slid that clamp down the hose to join the existing one at the radiator and added a new worm clamp to the leaky end. All good. (WHEW!!!)
