Need help. Have a small coolant leak on passenger side by the ac compressor. Checked water pump and no signs of leaking around water pump or through the weep hole. Can see where the leak is dripping on front of the engine by the oil pan. Cannot seem to find it. Checked the lines running down from the egr and all are dry. Any ideas?

thanks

there is a lot of connections there above the A/C compressor. The engine water inlet and heater hose returns there. There is a wall seal behind the water inlet where it bolts to the block that sometimes weeps on mine when it's real cold.

Noticed coolant dripping slowly wheee my finger is pointing.

From reading other posts it may be the pump leaking from the o-ring seal. Had to replace it a couple months ago in the parts store parking lot while traveling. May not have been a good seal.

Replaced pump the other night and found that the leak WAS coming from the weep hole! Flushed system with distilled water. I actually honed the face where the water pump mates to a smooth finish. Also honed the face or mating surface of the water pump to get the high spots off from there. Then I used hi temp rtv on the mating surface around the OD of the o-ring. Changed thermostat and did same it the surface above the spigot where thermostat sets in and the surface of the inlet cover. Used he mopar concentrated purple stuff. I think the previous owner may have used a different antifreeze as it was red in color. When I flushed the system I got a lot of crud out of the block, hoses and he radiator. Used 15 gallons of distilled water. Lol. So far it has made a difference in that temp stays more constant and does not fluctuate on the evic screen like before. No leaks and hopefully this one will last a good while.
