I had the water pump recall completed 2 months ago. This morning on my way out I noticed a quarter size leak under my truck. Upon further investigation it is coolant. I have never put a drop of coolant in this vehicle since I have owned it. In fact it has never dripped a single drop of anything. I can not seem to locate the source of the leak, I have checked the obvious dreaded plastic y-pipes they are all dry. Just wondering if anyone has had any reports of bad replacement water pumps. Thanks for the help,
Scotty

A good friend of mine had a water pump go out on his new 2018 Ram 3500. The truck had only 4K miles. His truck came with the new style pump and was not part of the recall. The tech was at a loss to explain.

I’m carrying a spare pump and tools under the back seat.

The easiest thing to do is have a local shop pressure test it. Or, if you’re inclined, eBay has pressure test kits for a little over $40 complete with all adapters. Not pro quality but for occasional use I’m sure they’re fine.

Top spring clamp on upper Y-pipe has a very slight drip when engine is hot. Water pump is dry. I'm going to install a constant torque hose clamp and see if that will cure the problem. Thank you all for your help,
Scotty
