Coolant reserve tank level, effects...

Does the level in the coolant reserve tank effect running temperatures? Uh, may be a dumb question, but I was thinking if at operating temperatures if level is beyond MAX on reserve tank there is less air/breathing space. Or, do I just THINK TOO much? Just replaced original radiator at 363K. Yes, it's one of them Indonesian products. I planning to have original rebuilt. Radiator shop/man says $500.00. Blessings to all, Patrick

The reservoir isn't closed, any excess fluid would simply be pushed out onto the ground. And likewise, there is no pressure to force fluid from the reservoir into the radiator.

The expansion and contraction of fluid is what pushes fluid to and pulls fluid from the expansion tank...
