I just had a coolant service done at the dealer on my 2002. They put in the green stuff which is part number 04267020 MS7170. Do I have to have an sca additive with this coolant ? I am getting different answers for this coolant and my truck

We don't have cylinder liners in our diesels, SCA is not necessary.

That said, I'm not sure that's the right coolant for the truck. I'd look it up to be sure.

And on top of that, SCA is hard on water pump seals. Was using Fleetguard Complete in my B150's in the boat and lost a WP seal. Cummins said it was because of the SCA in Complete. SnoKing
