Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Hi all, my truck (2009 6.7) is throwing the p245a code. Cooler bypass valve stuck open. I am receiving power to the valve actuator but it no longer opens and closes. I think the motor in the actuator has gone bad. It normally should be opening and closing every 20-30 seconds at idle.
what is the best replacement or fix for this. A new cooler bypass valve actuator kit is over $800 from the dealer. I noticed the 2013 and up and have a continental actuator, maybe they upgraded to a more reliable servo motor over the earlier ones? Is the servo motor replaceable?
