My cooling fan will come sometimes when I start the truck for no reason. I am also having trouble with it running all the time. My engine never gets much over 200 and the fan never cycles like a normal truck would.
The fan wil run all the time but will "kick in" at a predetermined coolant temperature and also may depend on if the AC is on or off. Mine seems to be just above 200 deg. At highway speed I can really hear mine when it kicks in and I'm about deaf. If it is not working properly it should be covered under the Cummins 100,000 mile warranty. bg
Yea the problem is it just kicks in whenever it wants reguardless of temp. I think on hot days at highway speeds it shouldn't run at all or just cycle like normal.
