Cooling hose.

On the passenger side of the engine, there is a hose about 4-6 inches long that connects two pipe ends. Mine is dripping and I'm going to take to my mechanic to change as it looks a bit hard to get to for an old guy. What I want to know is what to call it, except that 4-6 inch long hose on the passenger side of the engine, so that I don't sound like a goober.

Cabin heater plumbing hose. The horizontal one is 3820663, the vertical one is 3967022. Both are called "plain hose" in the parts list items 4 and 8.

That was a known issue and the new hose is a kit with clamps that corrects it. Don't take the shortcut of using the wrong clamps or you'll end up with more dripping!
Warned my buddy of this but he had to learn the hard way

You betcha, never ever use the wrong clamps. And that applies to many things in life. Anyway, it's fixed now also new shocks. I be stylin'.
