Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) cooling

have a 2001 Ho and pull a 30 ft 5th wheel. When in the dead of summer is it okay to pull mountians with air on and pulling close to gcvw?The clucth fan does cycle on and off at 190% degress? Never overheats, Need some input just watch EGT`s and temp and should be fine" Thanks Ron

Sounds like normal, just pay attention to EGT's and cooling temps and all will be fine, I sometimes shut down my a/c when on a good grade to see the difference. I have a temp monitor in the airhorn just before combustion and I can tell you that the a/c does put a heck of a load on the air temps, usually drops aroung 10-15* with a/c off. But the truck will handle it either way.
