My buddy just got a coolmist stage 1 water/meth in his 12 valve and it just doesn't seem to do anything. It is working and he is mixing it at 50-50, but when riding along with it on there seems to be no difference in power or cooling. Is it just some adjustments or what, he already tried both nozzles and settings. Can anyone shed some light please?

I'm not familiar with the Coolmist. Does it have higher pressure than the turbo? If not it might be spraying out somewhere else instead of into the intake.

To test I always disconnect a push lock hose from outside the injector and hang the hose out the side of the hood on a test drive, or just power brake to bring up the boost to activate the injection pump. I'm thinking you probably mean Coolingmist, which is what I have.

Water methanol injection is not like nitrous or propane. Its primary purpose is not to add power but to decrease cylinder and exhaust gas temperatures while also increasing cylinder pressures, advancing timing, decreasing greenhouse emissions, and removing carbon deposits. Because of these increased efficiencies, the engine is able to produce more power. I notice a seat of the pants power increase but with a modern system, the power should come on smooth and only once boost is up or EGTs are high.
