I just put a set of Cooper 265 70 17 SST MT LR E on my dually last week. I have had my fingers crossed for a LR E in this size to come out. They have about 1/2" space between rear duals. I had the same size in the Buckshots by Maxxis. They were a LR D 65 psi tire and wore well but had a little more flex in the side walls on the front than I liked. This flex resulted in the plastic tabs on the chrome simulator rings breaking. Hopefully the stiffer sidewalls will eliminate this problem or I'll be aluminum wheel bound.

I don't think that is enough space between the wheels. On my dmax I had the same sized tires and when loaded even with 80 psi they still touched.

MChildress- I was thinking of these tires but wondered how load that aggressive tread was. Are they ok or pretty loud? They are E rated for load, are they not? Thanks

Do you think moving up from a 16 to a 17" wheel would make any difference?

MY Maxxis Buckshots 265 70 17 had no rub issues with 15,000 lbs of gooseneck in tow. I have not put a load on the Coopers yet and yes they are load range E which I would think will be even better. Yes the 265 call for a 7" rim and the dually wheels are 6". I did not have any problems with the Buckshots for almost 40,000 miles and I know guys running and pulling trailers with 315's on these 6" rims with no issues. They are running 2"spacers between duals and 2" lift in front. Thats really stretching it in my opinion but they are having no problems and I have read of non here. I wish someone would make a wider dually wheel.

Thay are not bad at all and are actually quiter than the Buckshots which suprised me. The outside lugs are staggered which I believe makes them quiter.

I just put Cooper S+T on my 05 dually. Stock size but over 1/2" tread depth & very aggressive pattern. I wish someone would come out with a 255/85 type tire for us with duallies!
