Cooper Tire recalling about 288,000 tires

FYI- Cooper has issued a tire recall, here are some of the tires pertaining to trucks:

The models, used on pickups and sport utility vehicles, include the Cooper Discoverer S/T, Dean Mud Terrain Radial SXT, Durango Radial XTR, Mastercraft Courser C/T, Dick Cepek Radial F-C II, Mesa C/T, Pro Comp Xtreme A/T and Tempra Trailcutter Radial RT.

Does anybody know the serial numbers pertaining to this recall for the Cooper S/T's as I have them on my truck right now and just replaced one because of an odd shoulder tread block defect/missing tread blocks. If mine are in the recall I will replace a. s. a. p.

Good question sr03. I bought my S/T tires within that time frame as well.

I have the Dick Cepek Radial F-C II's and wouldn't mind if they got replaced with something else.

Get the DOT# off your tires and call 800-854-6288. They will tell you if your tires are included in that. This coopers' service phone number.

What don't you like about them? They looked like a decent compromise between an AT and MT with potentially better grip in snow/ice. Are they not wearing well?

Too much road noise, they are right up there with my sons Cooper STT's. Wear looks ok though.

I would like a 295/70 R17 E rated Goodyear Silent Armour would be nice.

The S/T are a great tire. Wear well and are pretty quiet. Really liked the BFG MT tires, too. A tad bit louder, but never really noticed, unless the windows were down, but it was only a slight hum. Not growling like the a set of Swampers would.

Gee, I really liked the Cooper STs I've had and the Mastercrafts on the company trucks. At least they are being proactive about the recall instead of waiting until there is bodies on the road and lawsuits . I would still buy Coopers, but I'm running the 19. 5 Hankooks now until... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... . .
