I am getting a set of 285-70-17 and need the number to make speedo accurate. Does anyone have it? I did not see it on their website. I would like to have it before I take delivery on new truck.

Thanks

JIM

First I went to Cooper's site and assumed you were buying sst's. cooper shows these as 33" diameter. Next I went to Klengers site and entered the tire size into the 48 trans with 3:73 gears and changed the Dia to 33". It tells me 611. 15 rev per mile. Is that what you were looking for?

I called Cooper and they said 636------------but when I went to have speedo corrected selling dealer said it wasnt possible-----no area to put number in. After I left I went to local dealer and asked for the same thing and told them I wanted 636 for the pinion factor. After a few minutes they came and showed me their DRB and all it takes is tire sizes----285-70-17----so I had them put that in.

Also they disabled the seat belt chime---which is VERY annoying-----and I also had them enable the hi idle feature but it works different on my truck from what I have read--------I was at a convienence store with truck running and it idled up to 1000 rpm with out cruise being on-----like my 03 does.

I guess I will find out more later

Thanks

JIM

i am also looking to get the Discoverer ATR' . although in the 265/70/17-E . I have run coopers in the past on a smaller truck and I was very satisfied. How do you like the Discoverer ATR' ?

CTDMtnGoat----The coopers I really like-----granted I have only had them a few miles but they seem to do the job really well.

milehigh. o. ------I thought the same as you and even used klenger's program and it came up with 617----went to other sites and for that size they say 636. So I called Cooper direct and asked them what the revs per mile was for that size tire and they said 636. But for the 06 models you do not have the option of putting pinion factor in-----you put tire size in.

I didnt believe first dealer I went to which was my selling dealer and went to local dealer which said the same thing and I asked to see and he showed me what it offered as far as prompts and it was tire size. He also asked if there was any thing else and I had him disable seat belt chime which is annoying and also had him enable hi idle feature.

ok , so now im thinking that maybe i should go up to the 285's. but im still not 100% convinced. mainly because i am concerned about the clearance issues with my gooseneck cattle trailer. regardless , i would be interested in seeing what the 285's look like mounted and on the truck. i appreciate any pics or info you can provide. thanks
