has anyone used any "Cooper" brand tires? I like the tread pattern on the Discoverer ST series. I know some coopers come with an E load rating. Just curious.

I've got the coopers

I have the discoverer st's on my truck. They are 285/75/16. I think I got the D rated tires instead of the E. My brother has the same tires on his 98 truck with E rating in 265/75/16. I liked the aggressive tread design, but they still have good road manners. I guess I could have got the STT's but I think that is a little over doing it. I don't have very many miles on them yet. Just rotated the first time. And they don't make to much noise on the road.

I've install Explorer ProComp 305/70R16 and I love them. They're durable, sticky, and I get roughly 45K out of them. Explorers are made by Cooper. :p

I just put on a set of Cooper Discoverer H/T 265/75R16 and absolutely love 'em so far. The ride is so much quieter and handling is very smooth. I'll have to wait till next winter though to see how they do in snow.

Cooper makes the ones I have on now ----

I use Lew Schwaub exclusively out here and Coopery makes the tire I have on now. This is my second pair, 1st set lasted 60,000+, and for a traction tire, that's great. I love this tire as the design stays the same throughout the entire life of the tread. What I mean by that is that if you look at a tread design very carefully, many of them will look entirely different when half of the tread is worn out. All of a sudden you have a tread design that won't exit water laterally etc.
