Well... With work slowing and the kid home from school what's on the to do list. I did the first oil change on the new rig right at 5000 miles, Amsoil synth and EAO80 Filter. Didn't spill a drop, I got the filter plug tool from Geno's and it made it a breeze. Put my one-touch oil drain valve in (Geno's) and now I'm good to go. Next up is the Titan fuel tank I have sitting here..... Diesel is down from $3.95 to $3.49 in a week, Gotta get it while it's cheap (here in Commiefornia). Anyone else here feeling the effect of this corona crap? My daughter is out of school til May 1st, Wife had to cancel about $10k of appointments. I'm a marine electrician and I also sell stuff on eBay but it's slooooowww here. Luckily the 2020 sport salmon season opens April 4th for us and hopefully the season will be as good as last year.. Lot's of nice fish!

We’re retired so sitting at home with no money is natural for us. Would like to be traveling and camping but can’t. The Governor here closed all the state. Parks and was going to make everybody leave but one couple was from Alaska and with the border closed had nowhere else to go. He let them stay. Young folks are freaking out with having to stay home. No ball games or movie theaters, college campuses shutting down. Maybe it will help.

Read yesterday some fly shops in Montana are canceling guided trips for the time being. This virus is shutting down a lot of stuff.

Considering a new fifth wheel, well new to us. Its a deal I am having a hard time passing up, but with all thats going on not sure I want to travel to Texas to get it from Utah. Decisions to be made, but by the time I decide they may not let anyone go if I decided too.

colorado just had a statewide stay at home declaration today....much work here is evaporating. this is awful. i am a contractor - home construction. i ordered a nice pella door on march 15. the expected date to get it was 30 days. it came today - ( thats 10 days fellas ) THAT is a grim indicator on the economy. 3 weeks ago best economy in my life. i am 50....now WTF? SEND CHINA THE BILL. they are crashing the world economy. hold the live animal eating people accountable. cheers.

We’ been on a statewide shutdown for a week now. DIL is working from home, Son is having to go in and Daughter teaches school and they’ve been closed little over a week. We talk to them but no contact. We live out in a rural area so not hard to stay isolated. Doing routine dr check ups over the phone. Good luck to everyone. Stay safe.

My wife and I live fairly rural as well...well, as rural as you get in Lebanon county, PA. Anyway, here in PA, loggers are allowed to keep working. A few weeks ago I had them quote me to cut down about a dozen dead Ash trees on our property....needed a bucket truck to top them so they wouldn't fall on our driveway. So on Monday I get a call that he was going to be onsite doing some cutting.

So, it seems all the lockdown stuff is at a good time.....cuz I got nothin' to do but run the John Deere, the chainsaw and pickup sticks. Wow do I have a mess to deal with!

I had about 13 acres of pine cut last March and it still looks like a tornado came through here. I had them leave the oak timber. My little 4105 JD can’t move those big piles and we are under a burn ban with it raining every 3or4 days. The ground is still spongey. Fire departments not responding to any 911 calls other than fire. And don’t want any of them. I used to run up to Pittsburgh and New Hope occasionally back during my trucking days.

How is there a burn ban with it raining every 3 or 4 days? 13 acres of pine is a MESS!!! Even the oaks leave a mess if they had big crowns. My JD 2025R sure isn't the tractor your 4105 is...but, I can lift a good 800+ pounds and it sure is a big help. Most of the areas are in the yard somewhere, so I can get to things fairly easy. Not sure how I'll deal with the branches yet. Maybe rent a chipper.....oh wait....the rental place ain't allowed to be open........grrr!

Yeah a lot of those Oh waits. The pines were right down through the middle of my property and I managed to get a lot of it pushed up between the house and the road but other than clearing out a shooting lane I haven’t fooled with the rest of it. I just called the local feed store and they have tomato plants so I guess I’ll start farming.

They are allowing Open Burns by us, it's a permit system for farms and the sort.

Then you can see someone tried the DIY, and they get called in which diverts crews from their duties. They should send a bill to those folks.

We had one get a little hot a few years back at the farm, they sent the forestry folks over and even a small plane.

I think it was a little overkill but good practice, we were expecting a bill for all that, it never came, they held the permit for a year then released it again for use.

Mellicks Woods Road is pretty close to my old house, as the crow flies, and I think I know that guy. He was a sprinkler fitter.

My sister is in Lopat/Alpha. I'm about 40min up by the Water Gap kinda, Marshall's farms area off 46 up the mountain from there.

Will there is an article in the local on line newspaper that in IL, it is saying one best-case scenario is August maybe the peak for the Coronavirus-19 for us.
This is for Kendall County IL which is one county away from Cook depending on the area you are in.

I have attached the link. https://patch.com/illinois/oswego/b...akingnews&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=alert

We are doing yard work depending on weather and staying inside with some out side walks but no travel at all except to the grocery store when needed. So, there maybe no camping for us till at least Sept at best.

comrade - we are approx. 50 days behind china. some good news that the media wont report is that 95% of the starbucks have re opened in china...additionally the main " study " that the whitehouse and britain have used to plan their response has just reduced their death figures by a ton: see below :

Imperial College London's Neil Ferguson - who originally estimated 500,000 deaths in the UK due to Coronavirus, now says that the virus will peak in just two or three weeks, and that UK deaths from the disease are now unlikely to exceed 20,000, according to NewScientist.

hopefully in a couple weeks this crap will blow over. the country needs to get back to work and the economy can get going again. cheers comrade! :) stay away from the lake michigan beaches or that chicago mayor will arrest you, while at the same time letting people out of prison. go figure...

I try and stay out of Chicago anyway, I am afraid of getting shot. If I drive in their are two express ways to get in on. The first is the Eisenhower (IL190) or the Stevenson (IL55). Both have had shooting incidence on the expressways over the last four months, shutting them down for several hours. The other way in is the train, Metra which goes through some very rough areas.
