When I bought my truck I was having an issue with the truck blowing fuses. The turn signals, flashers, and brake lights would not work. The fuses were replaced and while driving the voltmeter would peg at 18 (the max) for a while then return to normal. Brought the rig to the Dodge company and they said the trailer brake connector was shorting out and causing the problem. My friend said that the brake box should be run straight off the battery and not the fuse panel. Has anyone else ahd this problem? How have ya'll hooked up your brake box? Should I run hot and ground wires straight to th ebattery or some other way? The one in the truck is a Tekonsha (sp?). Any advice?
