Corrosion on the factory running boards on a 2017 truck

I am seeing corrosion and chrome pealing on the factory running boards on my 2017 truck with 23000 miles. Really? And there is no warranty on them? I am still thinking this thing is new!!!!

If factory installed, would be covered under the 36/36 warranty. Also probably under the Chrysler extended warranty if you bought it. If they were installed when bought and written up on the sales paperwork, they should be under the 36/36 and maybe the Chrysler extended warranty if you bought it. Otherwise it's 12/12.

That's why I went with aftermarket composite style. My 2012 had the same issues.

I thought I read here that the running boards were not covered

looks like they are Mopar accessory pieces and were installed by an out of state Ram dealer when the truck was new, so I am probably hosed
