If your looking for Michelins or Bridgestone tires, and live in the NW... Costco has a coupon for $50 off a set of four. Coupon good Jan 21st - Feb 3rd... . ;)

I saw it however, just as I was about to break out the credit card and make a dead run for Costco I noticed BFG tires weren't on sale. :(:(:(:(

what luck!

Don't know... I don't need tires right now so I didn't check... . Just call them and see. So far, I really like my stock Michelins... . ;)

Hey Bob;

If you can include the Southcenter Costco in the same mailing, I'd really be happy. The closest warehouse store is a Sorry Club and it is only better than nothing. The only time I've been in a good S Club is when they are near a Costco.

Heavy sigh!

RJOL, Can you tell me how to get hold of a $50 Coupon, are they at the stores ?

RonL

They send them out, by mail, to all members... . Call your local store and ask them about the coupon book, if you didn't get it. If that doesn't work, PM me with your address and I'll mail my coupon to you... ;)

John, last year at this time when I was looking to buy tires, I checked with the Costco near the Southcenter Mall, and they told me they cannot order 285-75R-16's. Seems kind of weird to me, I mean, a tire is a tire, it's round and black. They sell BFG's in other sizes, why can't they get bigger ones? Costco isn't like Burger King. Their ad slogan should be: you can't have it your way!

I checked out the Costco link Power Wagon provided. Hmmm. The price on BFG All-Terrain 295/75R16s is right on the money with Discount Tire however, the 285/75R16s are $24. more per tire (at costire.com. ).

Besides, the service at Discount Tire before and after the sale is vastly superior to Costco.

costire.com. . has NO affiliation with Costco

[I however do]

Costco has a special order book for the tires they don't have on the sales floor. . any tire in the "book" can be ordered... the buyers list the tires in the book and not every tire produced is available to the buildings. .

ALL items purchased at Costco are 100% member satisfaction PERIOD... if you ever have a problem with a building go directly to costco.com and lodge a complaint !! [it will be handled by the location manager]. . or go into the building managers office and you will be correctly handled. . [and an employee will have some "retraining"]

RJOL,

Thanks for the offer. I was quoted $130 each X6 for them to special order my OEM 10 Ply 215/85-R16E Michelin LTX M/S. I have 73,000 on the set and I'll try to get another year out of them, or at least until next winter. Just picked up a 2002 Chevy Impala LS and now I'm broke.

couldn't find 19.5's

i'm still a long way off for new tires (thank god, this house is putting a serious dent in my wallet), but the last time i went to costco i checked on 19. 5 michelins and the tire manager couldn't find any in his book. saw plenty of 22. 5's but no 19. 5's.

anybody in the sf bay area know which costco has 19. 5's?
