Took the plunge, Traded 2007 Chrysler 300 C & 2006 Ram 2500 for a 2014 Ecodiesel Laramie Limited,26000. miles. My dealership uses Rotella T6 Full synthetic 5w40. does not cancel warrantee. Great as I have 6gallons of Rotella T6 in my garage.
Enjoy. I have enjoyed mine but still have trouble with diesel fuel in the oil. 1 quart in 5,000 consistantly since the 10,000 mile oil change, 28,000 presently. Taking oil samples at 5,000 miles- change oil at 7,500. Dealer called and said they wanted to change the oil to the new 5-40 spec at my convince. Asked what that was going to do to correct the fuel dilutaion problem, no answer. I stongly suggest you take a oil sample when you're able. Would appreciate knowing your results.

The lowest mileage I have taken a sample on is 5,000, it was %5, 7,500 miles-5% and 10,000 miles 4.8%. Oil manufactures and different engine manufactures have told me anthing above 3% at 10,000 is trouble and that is allowing for a +-1% margin. Having diesels all my life and been around them from single cylinders to the V-16's never had any go this high that didn't have a problem or ended up with a serious problem. I've never had a gas engine sample run this high. But FMC says it's normal. I've not found anyone that has sampled their Eco Diesel and shared the information with me. Robin Patton, Turbo Diesel Register, told me he is running a Eco Diesel that he took a sample at the 30K mile oil change and sent out, but haven't heard anthing from him on what the analysis showed.
