Couple of questions for 06 owners.....

Hey there! Still trying to nail down my intermittant little drizzle of coolant out the TOP of the overflow...



#1 What level is your coolant measuring in the overflow bottle? Is it on the " Full " line ?? or on the little " Blue " line a little ways down from that? Or is it somewhere in between?



#2 Where does your temp guage usually read when warmed up? The "2" is usually just to the left of center, the first "0" is exactly center, and the second "0" is slightly to the right of center. Mine will go to the 2nd "0" on inisitial warm up, then drop down to just to the left of center. If it's hot out with AC it will sometimes stay right in the middle. It does move up to a little over center and drop back down as well. When I am pulling heavy uphill it will go slightly past center to the right and stay there until the road flattens out and then back down it goes. .



Just curious and thanks for your time!! Dealer took out enough coolant on Tuesday to make the coolant overflow bottle be on the HALF way point between ADD and FULL. Still getting the intermittant drizzle out the top so was just curious!

My overflow bottle level was at the low mark for the last 70,000 miles. I just put some disstilled wter in it on wed. to bring it up to the full level.



temp running empty run just a hair under center, around 190-195. Loaded it will very easily approch 210 and stay around 203. This is a very normal operating temperature. On long hard pulls it will get as hot as 215-220.

Thanks so very much!! Sounds like my temp is running the same as everyone else's!! I had origionally suspected a slow or partially opening thermostat that might cause a little extra pressure. But sounds like that one is ok!!



Any other ideas on what could cause the drizzle? I find it puzzling that the same amount of coolant comes out the top when it's full or half full! You would think the fuller it was, the more that would come out !! I stuffed some paper towel in the overflow rubber tube. Just to VERIFY it is coming form there. . Not affecting performance so not to worried. . Thanks!

Out of the top of the bottle or rad? The hose fit a little loose on the nipple coming out of my radiator and I put a small cable tie on it. Is your bottle cracked at the seam?

Sure sounds like your bottle is cracked at the seam right at the top or the nipple has a slight crack or your hose is loose. Is your nipple hole the proper size or slightly clogged?

Thanks everyone, I put the clamps on last week Dealer took out some coolant on TUesday and tested the system. Everything passed... AMazing how I get the same VOLUME of drizzle when it was FULL or now HALF FULL. Thanks!!
