OK so turck was smoking a liitle too much with basically everything tuned up a hair to get max power or close to it. Engine was actually running great but too much smoke. So I turned in the full power screw about 3/4 turn and noticed I still had most of the power (not all) but a lot less smoke and was happy. Then I turned up fuel pin just about 1 more hour from about 6/10 to about 7. 5/10 to hopefully compensate for some of that lost power but for some reason it yielded a massive loss of power. It is definetely fuel related, it is not delivering boost or EGTs, aka low on everything related to fuel. . Smoke wise: none if any smoke at all, and tough time accellerating. If I didn't completely remove the fueling pin, then the pin that sits on the cam should not have recessed into the pump housing at all, correct? Is there anything that would have caused the pin that sits on the cam to compress back into the pump? I noticed also that whenever I remove the fueling pin, it takes a coule miles it seems before I get the power back - I imagine this is because the pin has to slide back into the housing before you can remove the pin. This also seems to be why you can only remove the pin with with it set at the least powerful setting?

Any idea what would have caused total loss of power when I turned up the fueling pin only 1/10 and didn't remove it? My only thought is that perhaps that pin recessed and that it's stuck in there? I now havbe about 10 miles on the truck since this adjustment and can't figure it out. . Thanks, Andre

Yeah the fuel pin could be stuck inside the pump top. Some have sprayed wd40 or pb into the bore along with a pick to try to free up the pin. With the afc diaphragm and cone removed when you cycle the throttle, the pin should pop out. If not, try to free it up. When it pops out, with a pick or screwdriver push it back in before you put the cone and diaphragm back into the bore. You don't want to put the cone back in to where it sits on top of the pin. Pin and cone get mixed up. Pin is the little bitty guy that pops out down inside the bore, sorta like when Daniels g/f punches him in the belly before they have. . oh nevermind. The cone is the longer eccentric pin or cone about 3 inches long attached to the afc diaphragm.

Full power screw is at the back of the pump, closest to the cylinder head, aka full fuel, full power, max fuel screw.
