What would the Miles Per Hour Meter Read if the truck was indicating 2600 RPM, with HO , Automatic Trany and a 3. 73 Rear end... ??????

You neglected to include tire size. Taller tires translate into faster speeds. But with a 30" tall tire, that works about to be about 90.

With my BFG 265/70 17's, speed would be about 95 mph.

uh, guys, the answer to the question is ~93 mph, without regard to tire size. the computer is calibrated for stock tire size and so the truck's Miles Per Hour Meter will Read the same vehicle speed for a given RPM no matter what tire you put on there.

of course, if you're talking about an external speed measuring device, then tire size matters, taller tires = faster speeds, etc.

For a more generalized simple answer (auto/3. 73) try this:

mph = . 0356 times rpm.

For the 6 speed the generalized answer is:

mph = . 0337 times rpm.
