I have found 2 versions of the Cowl hood for the Dodge Ram p/up, 1 being steel, the other being fiberglass. Just curious if there are any differences besides the obvious. Any ideas on the weight difference ? Just a curious rookie looking to better accessorize my Ram. Thanks

I don`t know about you but at $399 plus shipping for the steel hood I`m definetly going that route!! You can`t beat a steel hood. No cracking or chipping and I`m not really worried about the weight of the thing.

I agree with Truckman. The steel hood is the best way to go. I've seen alot of fiberglass hoods that are wavy. My sister has a Reflexion steel hood on her Tahoe, and I plan on one for my Dodge. I like the options that a fiberglass gives you. Good Hoods has several different styles including a functional ram air for the 360 and V-10 that could probably be adapted to the Cummins. It is all up to you, but my money goes to a Reflexion steel hood.

I have the Relexiuon Cowl hood and couldn't be more pleased. It is a steel hood. But what makes it uniques is it is built on a stock Dodge underhood lining. Bolts right on where the other bolts off. Have installed a few and they are a breeze.
