Hey Guys! I have been a long time reader of this website and have learned a ton from all of the great information from everyone. This is my first post and unfortunately it is a little depressing.

My 2004 4x4 2500 CTD was stolen out of my driveway on Feb. 17 while my wife and I were at dinner. We just started the painful process of dealing with the insurance company when I get a call from the Phoenix police department vehicle recovery division.

They found my truck just north of the mexican border south of Bisbee Arizona. Apparently the Border Patrol had been chasing a truck load of Illegals jumping the border and guess who's truck they were driving. Mine! As they were romping through the desert in my truck the Border patrol was getting close to catching them when they bailed out and ran.

So far I have not been able to get any info as to the extent of the damage but I doubt the insurance company will total it.

I've heard that's where most of the stolen vehicles in Arizona end up. The Coyotes don't want their own vehicles impounded.

If you don't have the sentry or Lo jack, install a kill switch or pull a couple fuses. I'm glad i have the sentry key, because i am way to lazy to do the other stuff.

Of course they don't list a price. I think my FID card would cover that. I could say I'm just carrying around an 8 pak of rotating hunting rifles!

Was your truck built in mexico???? Maybe it just wanted to go home :-laf

No seriously dude that sux I pitty the fool that would try and steal my ride! Besides being a Dodge freak Im a firearms freak too :-laf

Looks like I'll have to beef up a headache rack to mount the Slamraam!

It's amazing the technology you never even hear about. I wonder what's out there that's top secret stuff.

Dude, I'm sorry, that sucks. Thats why we need to get tough on immigration.

The truck was stolen because we are "tough on immigration. " If the coyotes weren't concerned about having to abandon their own vehicle or having it impounded, they wouldn't have had the incentive to steal the truck. There may be other reasons to toughen immigration policies, but this isn't one of them. The more restrictions we put on immigration, the more money the coyotes make for each "delivery" and the more incentive they have to steal and break other laws. Illegal immigrants are like illegal drugs; the more restrictions we put on them, the greater the profit for the importers/coyotes.
