If FCA and Cummins were going to be on the hook for a bunch of warranty failures on a pump that is allegedly not designed for the north American market, wouldn't you think they would have improved it? When we were at Columbus the engineers didn't specifically say what improvements were made, but they did confirm they did.

Wasn't it GM that said the failures were because of "Bad Fuel"?????

Maybe the corporate plan is to deny warranty?

I am not bashing, and I am a Cummins fan, but let's remember it is a large corporation that gave us the 53 block, KDP, the less than stellar early 6.7 emissions strategy, etc. While I wish they wouldn't, I believe they are perfectly capable, like all big companies, of placing short term profits ahead of long term success. It's the MBA way.

Rtaylor, star has been around for many years for Chrysler support.
My apprentice sent me pics of a failed cp4 last week,it had a loud knock.I didn’t ask if there was contamination involved or not,I was too busy at the time

So whats up with this failed CP4 with a loud knock?? For sure you heard about it by now Bob, How bout' an update...... Seeing as how this could possibly be the achilles heel of our trucks I'm sure a lot of folks would like to know.
