CP3 issue?

EGR unplug without tuner

Can I plug/block the EGR Crossover Tube and Unplug the EGR safely?

I have been having a power problem with my 6.7. The truck is modified with the following items. 60HP BD injectors, BD Screamer turbo, 5" turbo back ex, upgraded piping and a custom Duralite intercooler with a BD intake elbow. Fass 95GPH pump and filter assy. Including a custom pickup in the Titan 60 gal tank...

The truck starts and runs great. It has 270,000kms and has been a reliable work horse. I have been working through custom tunes using EFI Live for many years. The issue is that when it hits fifth gear at 55-60 MPH it falls flat. First through fourth it pulls hard. Once it hits fifth, its like I just added 20klbs to the load... EGTs are down to 8-900 from the typical 11-1200 and rail pressure is down to 19-22,000PSI. The commanded value at that point in the tables is 28-30,000. In 3rd and 4th, seeing the commanded pressure of 30-31KPSI. But its pulling so hard it doesn't stay there for long before it shifts. I have changed out the fuel filters (still using the engine mounted fuel filter) and am confident that its not a delivery issue. 3rd gear lockup will break the tires loose when it hits!

What am I missing?? The CP3 is stock and still the original part.


The current tune is for a mix of performance and mileage. Slight smoke if the throttle is jabbed, but only momentary. I travel west through the Rocky mountains regularly and average 20-24 MPG at 70-80 MPH. Saw the highest number when the wife was driving through the BC interior at 55MPH, 28MPG... I'm with Sammy Hagar, can't drive 55. LOL
 
What makes X person think its the CP3...LMBO Does your Actual VS command show the Cycle/Voltage of the FCA? .. This is very common problem , any expert has the solution...I /Would run away form most who claim to be an Engineer=Google, Bing, Yahoo.
