Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Today I discovered the high pressure pump had come loose from the front cover on my 2005 5.9. The studs had backed out . I was 2 hours from home but found a shop near by (Corn Fed diesel, Walton, IN) who could help me. Justin had a replacement high pressure fuel line ( the loose pump vibrating had cracked it) and a couple studs. He had me going in an hour. As far as I know that pump had not been touched in the 177,000 miles since the truck was new. Now I'm wondering what might have caused it to loosen and if there is anything I can do to avoid a problem in the future. So far I'm thinking of installing new studs with loctite.
