I've called several reputable diesel injection specialists in and near my area and they all claim CR injectors cannot be tested outside the truck. All they can do is a cylinder contribution test. Why do none of the injection shops seem to know how to do this?

I keep reading about people sending their injectors to DonM (or others) to get them tested. I'm coming up on end-of-warranty, so I would like to get my injectors tested. Can somebody give me a few contacts for shops that do this kind of service? I have one so far, but I'd like to have a few more to choose from.

Thanks,

your options are limited when it comes to CR injectors. Most shops won't have the equipment to do the work and Cummins shops send their stuff out if needed. Typically if there's question about a part and it's under warranty... they just replace it. This is what a couple Cummins shops told me.

DonM is a CR injectors guru. You really should stick to people work with these things everyday and Don would be one.

Scheid Diesel is another place that an do it for you. They also know what they're doing when it comes to injectors

You could also go to a dealer and have them put a Starscan on it. That will tell you whether they're are working correctly too.
