I have had a leak for months, leaks at start-up while in neutral. I get under the truck and take the the dust shield off the bottom of the transmission to check just exactly where it is leaking from (pump, converter etc), and now I think the converter is cracked where the Front Cover is welded to the Stator or Stator to the Impeller Assy, I forget now. It looked like a crack there, I am not 100% sure of that. My question is this. Do any of you think this is possible? I would think the thing would push all the fluid out thru a 4-5" long crack there. The flexplate looks good, the converter mounting bolts look good also. Wish my digital camera was in working order...
