New to the list. This is my first post so I hope I get it right. This was my late brother's truck that I inherited back in July. Just discovered under the passenger seat where it attaches to the floor board when tilted forward a 6 inch crack in the floor. I was under the truck working on it and looked up to see the stress crack and the carpet pad. Did not see any post's about this so I thought it might be some thing for you to check on your trucks. Now I need to see about getting it welded and reinforced. Always wondered why that passenger seat bounced around so much when driving, now I know it was not just the normal stiff ride of the truck.

Welcome to the Forum!

Others with your style cab will appreciate the heads up on the floor cracking. With these trucks accumulating experience the way they do I'm sure we will see more of this problem.

I have noticed my passenger side mirror vibrating more and when I looked into it the door was crack about 3". The problem was the reinforcing plate inside the door was missing a screw and the lower leg of it had come un-glued from the outer door skin. Everyone might want to take a look at the bonding of your mirror mount in the door, this is really easy if you look through the plastic door vent on the end of the door and have someone flex the mirror mount up & down. If the mount is loose you will see it quite easily.

Hey Doug!! Glad to see you joined up! The $35 is the cheapest part:{ ... ... ... . it's everything else you do that costs ya ;) .

As for your crack... ..... er on the truck that is, I have a neighbor who is an excellent welder. He does fab work and structual welding, does it all. Seeing as how your just down the street, give me a call and I can hook you up with him to get your "crack" repaired:-laf .

DMosher, Welcome to a great club. You will find this to be an interesting, entertaining:rolleyes: and educating resource and the website software is very user friendly. :D

I had a similar problem but the seat hinge was cracked. You have me wondering now, about further damage, so I'll be climbing underneath to inspect. Wouldn't want to break any state laws ya know. Thanks for getting me to think about it. :)

My hinge was cracked also, I welded it up and added a reinforcing plate on top of it, I'll have to check under the truck, didn't even think to check the floor.

Thanks for the heads up,

Caleb
