Archived Cracked Block

The guy who owned my new to me 99 2500 CTD tracked me down threw title search to tell me my truck has a cracked block. Is why he returned it then it got whole saled. He says that Cummin's say's this is a manufacturing defect. I purchased warrenty when I bought truck so I'm looking at a new motor. Anything I should do to a new motor before install ie, fuel system,newer engine,injectors etc. .

I hope they will take care of you, be careful who does the work on your truck, 98. 5 to 2000 used a different crankshaft than the 2001 and 2002.
