Good day, (for some anyway),
I bought my 97 2500 thinking that with the Cummins under the hood I could keep this truck for good long while. It's got 178,000 miles, runs great with some Banks modifications and rebuilt transmission with Gorend Bros. TQ and shift kit etc. The only problem now and it is a big problem is that the top dash panel cracked right down the middle. So a visit to Mopar Parts America's Web site and I got a panel. It's gray instead of brown but that's all that was available. In the nightmarish encounter in replacing the panel I find due to the hot South Florida sun the instrument panel is crumbling as I work to remove it. Guess what there's not one to be found, anywhere. And I've been told that they have been discontinued, no longer available. A junk yard you say? What, buy another dried out crumbling piece of crap. I don't think so. SO finally my question is does anybody out there know where I could come up with a new instrument panel? I don't care if its purple just as long it is new. Or should I get out the Gorilla glue and start gluing the parts back together.
