A crack has developed coming from the vent on the top of the dash on my 2000 Dodge 3500. Has anyone had experience with this and did you totally replace the top of the dash, repair it, of buy one of the covers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Already been there and done that. Some have done complete dash removal and replacement, but this is a pain in the rear and it will probably just crack again. I took the easy the way out and called Genos. They have a dash replacement cover that looks great and is fast and simple. If your dash is not black you will have to get the Mopar interior paint and spray it before installation.
I noticed that a few new threads have been posted lately on the 2nd Gen dash cracking again. The poll in this thread has had 32 owners fill out the poll with cracks and 15 owners responded in the text post with no cracks, since that option couldn't be selected.
