Went on a trip this weekend with 5ver. Parked fri night and didn't start it again until I left today. Right away had "whistle" noise starting at about 17lbs of boost & up, then really pronounced during exhaust braking, so bad I stopped using it. When I first got the truck I had the problem with the rear exhaust manifold bolt & fixed it,so I checked the bolts but it was to hot to get to the lower rear bolt when I got home, but the tops checked out. Is their a chance this whistle could be a cracked exhaust manifold? Going to check the bottoms monday. One thing to note, sometimes on the way home the whistle would lessen, almost enough to not hear it, then it would come back... ?

Thanks

Steve

Since it is worse with the E-brake on, I doubt it is a charge air cooler clamp/hose problem.

Could need new exhaust manifold gaskets or a new manifold.

I have a new set of 6 head to manifold gaskets for 24v. If need them, send me a PM. They were accidentally sent with my ATS manifold, instead of the ones for a 12v. Never got around to sending them back for a refund.
