Craftsman mower manual?

Does anyone have an owners manual or service manual for a Sears Craftsman mower, model 917. 37635 ? It is a 6. 5hp, 22in cut, front drive, with key start. Thanks in advance. If you have this model, any starting tips would be appreciated.

Put in yor model number and different options will appear. I downloaded a manual for a Craftsman lawn tractor I have just the other day from this site.



As far as starting tips, I've got a Craftsman mower that may be your same model, though I don't remember the number.



Make sure the battery is charged if you want to start it with the key. Make sure oil is ok and gas is in the tank. If yours is like mine it will have a rubber primer button on the front of the engine. Pump it several times. On mine if I forget to pump it the thing won't start no matter what I do. Once you've primed the engine turn the key or pull the rope and it should start.

I have had s couple of Crafsman pull start mowers that have primer buttons and as Duane said they won't start if you don't pump the primer 5 or so times.
