Just bought a 1997 3500 auto. 385,000 miles, beat to hell, no brakes (pedal drops to floor when pressed), not chargeing, busted windsheild and whiskey dents everywhere, and rust on the doors and cab corners.
Anyway, Considered putting back on the road, new master cylinder, new alternator, new fuel shut off solenoid, etc.
But I see at least a 1/4" wobble on the crank pulley, causing the belt to vibrate and squeak. Is the damperner shot, (is the belt pulley mounted to to the dampner or directly to the crank?) or is the crank bent?
