I just replaced the crank seal and put a wear sleeve on it (Cummins kit). I left the plastic guide on it (between the seal and the sleeve) for couple days due to waiting on my new fluidampr to come in. I pulled the guide off this morning and noticed a slight gap between the lip of the seal and the wear sleeve. Is that normal? And if not should I go ahead and pull the cover off and install a new seal all over again? I’d hate to button everything back up then find a leak again. Thanks in advance.

Give it some time to get back to its original shape, hopefully it does.
Is it very cold where you are, might want to heat it a little with a hair dryer to let it relax.
10-4. I’ll get after it with the hair dryer and hope for the best. Thanks.

Hank, hope your seal works out for you. Still have same truck and no leaks Sept. 2015 to present is good for me. Hope I don't jinx it
