Last week while getting on the freeway without the trailer, the old girl

hiccuped twice and the MIL light went on. Hooked the PDA for the Banks

six gun and codes came up crank sensor performance, and an erroneous

code. So went to the Cummins dealer a bought a new sensor.

Installed it, put 1200 miles on it and the MIL light came on yesterday,

but no hiccup. Ran fine. Cleared the code, still running fine. This is the third

sensor. Looking for a little knowledge, is it the Banks?? Or just glitches.

Thanks, Doc

How do get your posts to come up with your specks.

If it's a P0336 code, mine throws it at random, usually if I start out fairly heavy footed, then abruptly back off. Doesn't really cause a problem, just throws the CEL, which is annoying until I clear it, or it eventually goes away.

In the future when purchasing sensors, you can get them from Geno's, or a Cummins shop, for a much better price ;).

At times the Banks Jumper wires will cause this code,Just clear it with The PDA/IQ, if it persist or cause running issues the wiring harness needs to be check out.

My Six Gun did this a couple of times after I first installed it when I would first start the engine in the mornings only mine complained about the camshaft sensor. Once, it actually stalled the engine. I cleared the codes and it ran just fine. Haven't had a problem since then.

What harness are you refering to? The Banks or the trucks? It also threw the MIL

again. Two days in a row on the first start of the day. Cleared the code and... .
