Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) crankcase vapor bottle

Has anyone noticed vapor coming out of the vapor bottle? This morning when I arrived at work and was idling prior to shutdown, I noticed quite a bit of vapor at the front of the truck. I thought I had a radiator leak or something. I checked the bottle and it was the culprit. I have relocated the bottle from behind the engine fan to LH frame in front of the front tire. I have never noticed vapors coming out of the bottle before, but maybe thats because it was in the engine compartment. The outside temp this morning was approx 35-38F. There was a bunch of vapor coming out of the bottle. It looked like the tailpipe of a gas engine vehicle.



This is normal, right?

Its normal. Some brand/weight of oils do it more than others.

I ditched the bottle and extended the hose so the vapor does not condense all over the front of my truck. Looks like an oil leak eventually
