I assume that the hose comming out from under the valve cover and runs down the drivers side of the engine is the crankcase vent. When my truck sits for a few days it leaves a good size oil stain on the floor below this tube. Is this normal? Is there anyway to prevent it or is it something I have to live with? My ford runs the vent back into the intake. (which isn't really a good thing) Jeff

Yes that is the vent. Under the plastic cover is an oil separator, maybe not working correctly if you are getting allot of oil out the vent.

Jay, my venting tube has never dripped oil when parked for any amount of time, and I usually don't drive the truck on the weekends. Sounds like something isn't quite right.
