Competition Piers Dyno Day!!!!!!!!!!!

I really need some help. Since adding my twins my blowby has been a little excessive. Is there a way to install another crankcase vent or is there a better way to use the vent and bottle I already have? I've heard that dragsters use vaccum pumps in many cases. I'm running 60 to 65lbs of boost.

Thanks,

Here is how it works...

The piep in the exhaust is at a 45 deg angle away from the engine. As the exhaust flows by it it draws out the crankcase vapors. The one way check valve allow the crankcase vapor out but no exhaust in.

I had just one vent filter on the fill cap and with the filter off the tube and the engine at 2000 rpms there was a slight suction. So I added the tother two on #1 and #4 vlave covers.

I used this system on my race car(71 mustanf 351C) with two set one from each valve cover it would actually show about 1 1/2" of vacuum at the end of the track.

It has been in place in my truck since the rebuild and seem to be working great!!!

drawson,

I really appreciate the pictures and the info. I'm gonna install a vent in my valve cover that has a built in baffle to keep oil from coming out. Then I will run a 5/8" tube to a blow-by bottle under my cab. I'm also going to get rid of the stock blow-by bottle and run a tube from the vent in the front cover to the larger bottle under the cab. I have installed a petcock drain on the bottle and the bottle is about 1/2 gallon in size. Your help has made this possible and I appreciate it!

Best Regards,
