So my new (1500 miles ago) crank threw the #5 connecting rod bearing.
even though they know it's warranty work (new part even though I am over 100k), and my only form of transportation, no rental, no nothing. I will stick with diesel, but I will never give another dollar to chrysler. And I may write up my saga and send it to ford, chebby, and toyota.
I am royally pi$$*$ off. In the shop for 3 days, no phone call. nothing. I have known the mechanic personally for years, and he is real good, I can't figure he messed up. I think he got crappy parts. I have had this happen from chrysler before (new gear box out of spec in the box, and more). I have replaced a ton of stuff on this truck, and never abused it in any way. I know the cummins has a great reputation, but I am still going to have to go with my experiences.
