Crankshaft Gear

Anyone ever removed crankshaft gear while engine still in truck?? If so whats the trick? Thanks

It would be tricky. I changed the gear on my crank while I was rebuilding the engine but I used a hyd press, a modified port-a-power. It was pressed back on, so that would be fun too. Shadrach
