If wet CPS?

I want to pressure clean my front gear case/cover. I'm am afraid to get the crankshaft position sensor wet. Has anyone ever wet the CPS and messed everything up:confused: CTD minds want to know:-laf Open to all ideas:eek:

Blessings y'all, Patrick :D

I pressure wash mine and the ones coming into the shop all the time, after a liberal dose of engine degreaser. I wouldn't just hold the pressure on it, but I don't think it will hurt it, unless it's leaking, in which case, driving in a good rain will do the same.....

F. Y. I. Geno's has listed in their catalog, P/N 3924432, a crank speed sensor for the 94/97 engines, price: $70. 00+ shipping. These are a "Perfect +" fit, (bolt-on/plug-in) for the earlier trucks. I say "perfect +" because they have slightly defferent mounting legs than the original part, which allows a greater adjustment range. This might matter if, as I did you are mounting and aftermarket vibration damper (I used a "Fluidampr") which is a larger diameter and requires relocating the sensor. Jack Dancoe
