Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
To thoes that responded to my question several weeks ago reguarding the location of the crankshaft position sensor... THANKS MUCH!!
I got a new one form the local cummins dealer, installed it in under an hour and ... Problem solved. Some observations... I had a problem with an occasional miss that the dealer couldn't find. I had an edge box and didn't want to hastle that issue. Also sometimes it would idle kind of rough and the tach would vary by about 50 to 100 rpm. Well no more. Tach is rock solid, idle is smooth and no misses as of yet. Makes me think the sensor was bad from the factory and just continued to get worse. Again thanks to all on this forum!!! I would not have known about this without reading it here.
